So I Fight Dragons recently left Atlantic Records

And Brian, the singer, explained that one of the reasons why is because Atlantic made him write a song over again 18different times with 6.5 other writers (the .5 is a writer who just couldn’t get himself to write a song) because they liked the track, but not the melody and lyrics (even at one point forcing him to write over just one chorus)

They also told the band that KABOOM, their debut LP, had no hits on it (“The Geeks Will Inherit The Earth” was rated No.1 in numerous circles and received heavy airplay on a Denver radio station.)

This is the 18th version of the song, and it was never given to the studio.

This is after a year and a half of song-writing and being put down by the execs. And it’s fucking hilarious.
